Attract new members of all ages and abilities to CLHC and create positive environment where players will enjoy playing and want to achieve high standards.
1st Team to continue to build and establish consistency in the Premier League.
Continue club tradition of being good cup side and looking to reach finals and at least make quarterfinal stages each season.
Senior Indoor squad to maintain their position in the Indoor Premier League
2nd XI to compete effectively in West Women's Club Premier DIV.1 with top four finishes and help develop players of quality good enough to feed into 1st Team on regular basis.
3rd XI to compete effectively in their league and be a team that really helps young rising talent to make transition through to the clubs top teams. Also imperative for club to find mature players prepared to help provide a solid backbone and pass on knowledge/skills.
4th XI to promote the development of the young talent within the club and challenge them in a ladies league. To compete effectively, with the aim of staying above mid table.
5th XI continues excellent work as the stepping-stone between junior and senior/adult hockey. Enables youngsters to develop confidence, skills in a competitive but fun/friendly environment.
(4yrs realistically) -also increase the importance of senior players mentoring junior ones.
Identify needs of players via player mentoring so as to gradually improve and develop fitness, skills and talent… giving best opportunity to fully reach and achieve true playing potential as individuals, as well as team growth and development.
Identify young talent outside the club in schools etc. and encourage them to join CLHC.
Also hopefully develop more home grown talent good enough to achieve international status and represent both club and country at this level.
Continue to develop a positive environment for our Junior Section, continue to improve quality of coaching and resources. Identify and nurture young talent. Continue to compete effectively in matches (Avon League, Cup competitions and tournaments).
Encourage younger players within the club to achieve Umpire or Coaching qualifications.
Increase the number and quality of coaches within club so that each team has a head coach and support coach. Help coaches develop this relationship by being mentored and making progress through EH Coaching Level Awards.
Value volunteers and increase the number of members/parents etc. willing to help and potentially qualify as umpires, coaches or undertake other roles within club.
Promote hockey and CLHC within the community. Develop local links with Schools, Universities, FEC's and other organizations. Adopt initiatives that support hockey development, fitness and playing sport, especially aimed at youngsters.
Identify possible sponsorship targets and develop effective fund raising arenas and ideas… THIS IS IMPERATIVE FOR THE PROGRESS & LONGEVITY OF THE CLUB AND ENABLE US TO CONTINUE TO COMPETE EFFECTIVELY AT HIGHEST LEVELS.
