These matches can be an excellent opportunity for more experienced players to get a feel for the club and the standard of hockey played at Clifton. Perhaps you are moving here for University or maybe fancy a new challenge at a different club. If you are 15 or over get in touch, there are usually some friendlies and it may be possible for us to let you give things a try!

Hockey does not stop completely over the summer. There are usually a sprinkling of tournaments and competitions you could play in and also the Summer League games.

The club runs two summer league sides:

Summer 1st Team in Div 1 of Avon Umpires Summer League (1st/2nd/3rd team standard)

Summer 2nd Team in Div 2 of Avon Umpires Summer League (3rd/4th/5th team standard)

Indeed these present an opportunity for the club to integrate some of our younger rising talent with our more experienced players in a competitive environment to give them experience and see how they develop with a view to the Winter League season ahead.
